We sweat inside. Anyhow, nice pickup. Is that for for your Oscars & Pacu or is their big tank still on the waiting list?

Well my Pacus died a while back.(almost a month now some type of fungal infection is my guess)

My two Oscars were doing great and then one afternoon I found one of them dead and stuck to the intake tube.

I still have one and he is doing great and I got a green terror to go along with him.

I am trying to find some nice healthy looking Oscars and you won't believe this but the walmart that is closest to me has some of the best/healthiest looking Os in El Paso.

The big tank is going to be for my fish that are in the 20 long (Oscar and GT)

I was thinking about doing an Oscar and Clown loach tank (and just the one GT i have now)

I already sourced a trim/frame replacement for the big tank. $47.62 with tax and shipping except that it is gonna take 3 weeks to get here.

I am going to reseal the tank just because I feel like doing it. It has been full since yesterday and no leaks. (filled three times and emptied twice since yesterday)

I will empty it again and reseal it sometime next week.

That corner kind of bothered me but for $80 for both the tank and stand I could not pass it up.

I'm glad you got them a big tank. Go ahead & start cycling that SOB ASAP so its ready for them. What's the stock? 1 Oscar, 1 Green Terror & Loaches? You know me, I vote for at least 10 or 15 Botia Kobutai & maybe 10 Clown Loaches to go with those big cichlids! You will really like the Kobutai & clowns, but they will need de-worming since they are wild caught.

I think I am going to stock it with 6 Oscars (I want a pair) 1 GT, and 6+ Clown Loaches.

Whenever the Oscars pair up I will get rid of the rest.

No Kobutai?! Oh alright. It may be cheaper to just buy a Oscar breeding pair, but I dont know if the GT will last too long with them in breeding mode... GT's are serious glass-bangers if paired up & i'm sure Oscars arent much different. What are you going to stock in your 14G & 20Glong?

Yeah I would not of passed on that either. Great find man!

If I could find them locally then yes I would get some.

As far as the smaller tanks. Not sure. I might make the 14g a QT tank and just keep some Giant Danios in there.

The 20g long might be stocked with a breeding pair of convicts.

Yeah the guy let me know over the phone. He said he knew for a fact that it would not leak. I could not pass it up I checked it out and I was really expecting a leak when I got home but it did not happen.

Overall though if the guy was shady I would not have bought it. He really sounded legit and confident in what he was saying.

So I rolled the dice and it came out in my favor.:headbang2

1 more week and a half before the trim arrives.

It is going to be a loooong week and a half...
