Finally some pics that justify these guys! Trust me, the lack of good pics somewhat drags down a fish's popularity.
Great pick up.

thanks kookie, yea these not heaps of good shots around, i've seen some great ones on here though. i find it more difficult to capture the blue more than any other colour in fish.

pics are with no flash, right? They look so much nicer without it.

no flash, you get the true colours easier that way, i'd love a speedlight though

Wow!! I like him! I would love to find one of that size but know one ever seems to want to trade them in around here.

yea its very rare to see a decent size texas with good colour around here, they dont hang around long either, hence why japes sed i was so lucky

The best carpintis I've seen so far(I mean carpintis here, no escondidos or cyanos), I wish my lil rascal turns out just like him.
I herd they slow down a lot after 8"(sometimes stop growing also), is it true?
I like to see him at 12+" mark ASAP....goodluck mate!

I havent seen any carpintis more than 10" till date.

thanks scratanut, yea i think they do slow down, i'd love to get my guy to at least 10 inches, i cant remember seeing one that size in person.

yea he settled in really quickly with no drama's, noone haslted him, i was a bit worried having 3 larger male species alot more aggressive than him, that they might have givin him a hard time, but he seems to be fine, not even a fin nipped when i got up this morning
