New Tig..PICS

both tigrinus and jurencse are hard to get feeding i just sold the one in the pic i posted who was the best feeder i have seen and it was active all the time

i got a new 12inch tig about 2 months ago and its still not feeding great even if i put food on its head sometimes it will eat it sometimes it wont

try feeding it late at night 2amish

what are you guys calling it though?a jurensce or jurence?I looked up both can't find anything at all...odd for their being "fairly common".

Its called a Juruense.

the one you have grows to 3ft+ the real tigrinus grows to just over 2ft

the one you have cost $60 the real tigrinus costs $200+

the one you have are fairly easy to find the real tigrinus are fairly rare

not much diffrence in care and they are both nice fish but the one you have will always be fairly dark were as the real tigrinus has a real nice blue color to it

I can only hope my Tig will look that good. i hope he gets some crazy stripes haha. yea idk how well mine is eating eathier. i got some bloodworms(gotta order more blkworms) and i put them right by him and had the lights out since our powers been goin on/off. and i know he ate a little looks liek he got a good meal but not sure.
and really like your juruense. it has good markings. i was going to get one a hwile back.

more pics up tomorrow our powers been goin out so ive kept the lights off. hes enjoying it. nice and active at night.

there seems to be two color morphs?Flash juruense and regular?

some members have juruense that look very much like a tig and others are just black with maybe dark grey stripes.

was your juruense sold to you as a "flash"?

I wan't to ask my LFS if they can get me one but I don't want to wind up with a black one......

dont waste your money on a flash jurence they go the normal color of a jurence after being kept in captivaty for 1-2 months it something they eat or water conditions that turn them yellow/gold
