Yeah I was scratching my head at the outcome myself.The plastic cover looks like something really launched itself through it in order for it break that way.It looks suspicious as I can see the plastic being knocked off completely but not a hole punched through it.

I might be out of line here but what are the chances it busted through exactly where the intake or output hose is?small hole for a 14" tig to get through. If I am way off base I apologize, and am sorry for the loss

It's probable. Unlikely it is a coincidence the tig chose the location near the hose and it is understandable too as there is always a small gap between the hose and the plastic.
