Hey guys, new future arowana keeper here! i have been in the planted/discus aquariums for over 10 years with tanks ranging from 75g to 105g

now we are building a new home and i have purchased a real tank.... 265gallon, 84 long 24 deep and 30 height

i would not even dare turn this monster into a planted tank as just the trimming would turn into a full time job

so i am going from a very complicated planted setup to a basic one

i will be running a 75 gallon sump, black rocky gravel and one drift wood right in the middle with a few anubias plants...

now after weeks of reading i am a little confused, unlike planted/discus tanks everyone has a different opinion on keeping aros

my question. can i keep 2 in this tank?

2 silvers?
2 jardinis?
1 silver, 1 jardini ( i hear your not suppose to mix them?)
1 black one silver?

I would go one jar or one lei. 2 of none. Silvers get too big, not sure about blacks.

i have never seen lai arowanas here locally ( montreal/canada ) only jar and silver

i would love 2 silver ones! but not if its bad for them

i would get 1 jar and some tought central american cichlids

I can suggest u to go with atleast
4 silver aro (or)
1 silver aro and some blood red parrots
Because 2 silver arowana cannot stay together,so its better to go with 4 or more.

i dont think 4 will fit from what i read, im starting to doubt 1 silver will fit.....

i would love 4, but its not about what i love.... i have to think of the health of the fish

i would love to but budget will not permit for a custom aquarium

i called many places and the cheapest custom was expensive

ideally i need 84 long 30 height and 30 width

locally i can get for 800$ 84 long x 30 h x 24d
