if you got a small silver the 24'' deep tank would do for a couple of years.

I have a 1.5' silver in a 7' * 2' * 2' and he has a good lot of space.

Will be upgrading to a 8' * 3' in a year or two though when i think he's too cramped.

Maybe start off with one if you think you'll be able to upgrade in a few years.

Great fish to keep and worth the investment

4 full grown silvers wont fit. I mean you may stuff 12 clowns in a mini cooper, but they aint going be happy long. That's a nice size aquarium for some discus and some clown loaches partially planted. If not, go with a black arowana. I wish I could find one, but they are hard to find in hawaii.

i could not agree more! but i have done discuss and i wanted to try something different

i went to a few lfs today all they have is silver and jar! one of them told me for a red one it would be about 3-5k!!@@@@ yeah right.....

million dollar question.... can 4 silver ones last 2 years in this tank?

can i do 4 jars?

the reason i ask is because i dont like mixing to many kinds of fish, i like to stick to one, i like the look of it more, if i have to i guess i would only put one aro in there and thats it but i would like multiple as in 2 or more

The 24" depth is the most questionable issue for me. Eventually you'll need a pond to house all 4 full grown arowanas. My aquarium is 96x34.50x 30 h, and I don't think that I'd be able to do 4 of them. My filtration couldn't support that@ this time.

For sure one year. But a group of Jardini could work for life in that tank however I'm not sure if they can be kept with more than one per tank due to aggression. But maybe with 4 it could work?? Jardini are one of the smallest Aros.

where did you get a tank that size? is it custom? i would get that tank instead but all i found was the marineland 265!

I built that one. It's a plywood build. My thread for that build can be found in the dyi section under my 500 gal updates.
