yup i wasnt sure of how much gal it was exactly cause it been many years, but i measure it out cause andyc288 pm me to offer me some advice and help , thanks man

Great you've got the equipment, now all you lack is knowledge.

It's not always good getting advise through PMs. You just can't be sure the info your getting is correct. Heck the guy who your PMing with thought he could raise 5 silver aros in a 20gallon tank.

Flamed!

I recommend using the search function in MFK, lots of useful issues have been dealt with in previous posts.

Search terms like: pH & KH, water changes, non-live & live food, water conditioner, nitrates,

hey guys its me again! i got some great news. i set up my tank however my 'good' filter's hose broke so i have to fix it sometimes this week so im using a temporary filter and heres my tank with a silver aro i just got. i decided not to get a jar anymore.. i had to get a 300w heater today because i was told 100w wouldnt do the job. i am also trying to make my tank coming alive by adding decoration soon. enjoy

Very sad, adding an arowana to an uncycled tank. I would be surprised if it is able to last 10 days:(

BTW that's not a 180s tank looks too be in the 110-120 range 60" x 18" x 24"

NEVER EVER add a fish before the tank is completely cycled...

dood... i seriously recommend you return that fish and then wait for the tank to cycle...

if you want it to cycle faster, get like 10 gallons of crap water, dump it in and wait a few days... also add any used filter media into ur filter - btw you need a better filter too - i recommend you make a diy wet/dry and add all the used water from other fish tanks you can get also, adding some of that biospira and cycling stuff from the lfs helps too

seriously... dont be impatient, you gotta do your research and study until you are absolutely certain you know the material before you jump into the hobby with a fish thats not a "beginners fish"

hell... i did 3 months of research on peacock bass before i decided i was ready to keep some
