yeah I noticed he looked like a mix of blue gill with a bass shaped like body lol
hes an amazing fish still comes to the front of the tank lol and those pics he knows he looks good he loved getting hes pic taken lol

It looks good. I would add aquarium salt to the tank and do lots of water changes. It will help grow back its fin if possible. When it comes to diet variety is key. Don't just feed pellets but frozen foods too. Like brine shrimp, tilapia fillets and market shrimp chopped up.

thanks ill go to the lfs later on and get some aquarium salt I cant find mine right now...
that's really helpful thanks ill get him started on some shrimp and tilapia tonight!

A simpler food to handle, if you are new is freeze dried. They like krill. Feed sparingly, but it is easier to clean up and store than fresh frozen stuff.

hmmm sounds better actually will pellets and krill be ok or mix his meals more??

Congo tetras seem to do fine with my GT.

They can look cool with their mini teeth

I love it when a fish picks his owner. A school of dithers is always a safe bet. I used rainbows, giant danios. silver dollars and red hooks. Too fast for the cichlids to catch. Haha I even had a bunch of guppies live with full grown Motaguense.

It's ok I hope he does but if he doesn't that's fine too lol we love him very much idk if pellets is better than bloodworms wat does everyone feed their GT
