if it is mouthing the food dont worry about changing it, he will get a little hungrier and decide when he gets it in his mouth to swallow it. he looks to be healthy so if he is mouthing just hold out another day or two and he will eat the pellets. if he doesnt try a little smelt, or raw shrimp just tear it up into itty bitty pieces. its the only thing my juvi tsn will eat.
Whatever he is he looks awesome. Good luck with the feeding I'm going through the same thing with a needlefish right now.

..though the shipment of food I was expecting hasn't come yet. So I picked up some feeder ghost shrimp to give it something to eat till the freeze-dried/etc food arrives. I didn't want it to go friday-tuesday with no food at its size, and being new to the tank...
