You won't need diy CO2, but if you want co2, either excel or pressurized is the way to go. For a tank that big, you will need a ton of 2 liter bottles.

ok so if a co2 diy will not help what about fertalizer it there some suff that i should get

Fertilizer won't do much without a source of CO2. What kind of lights are you running.

Yeah, with that little amount of light, CO2 and fertilizers won't do much of anything. Especially if you've got duck weed blocking most of it.

what lights would be better

bummm

You need some power compacts or Halides......I have a coralife 2x65 watt on my 125 gallon...........and that's pretty low. Try for 1.5 - 2 watts per gallon. It's not a "hard" rule but now bad either.

Actually I think Halides would be a bit much for this tank. They're pretty pricey and you might have some heat issues. Power compacts or T5 Ho fluorescents would be a better fit.

If I may ask, why do you want to add CO2 and fert's? You're plants look like they're doing okay with the conditions you've got.
