so ok i am getting 2 t5 lights after that if i dont have the co2 diy they will still grow, Just not as fast?

so how inportant is the co2 do i NEED it or is it something i could do with out what would happen if i dont have it
Not quite. CO2 is required for the growth of plants, however, injection of co2 is not required.MDK500;1801213;1801213 said:
If you have fish/inverts producing some co2 in the tank it will do some, also if you have surface agitation and there are many animals/humans in the house, then your co2 levels will be higher. the 2 l bottles can be more hassle than there worth , if your set on co2 systems the you can build a cheap one , more initial cost but works out cheaper also with the bottles its hard to keep the pram stable which is more important as the plants grow a lot better in a stable environment they have adapted to.
