Nice looking ornate, is the other one del?

Thanks man. I've wanted a polli since I first learned about polys, but I must say I'm kinda happy this turned out the way it did. Such a cool looking fish and so far is the most active fish I have, doesn't stop moving for more than a minute at a time. Yeah, the other is a delhezi, also really active so far. Overall very happy with these guys. Can't wait to have all 4 of my polys together

I read a ton about how polys usually don't eat for a while when you first get them, but all 4 of mine have eaten very quickly. These new guys are eating full meals on first try, like 6 hours after being put into their tanks. The ornate is a little glutton.

I have looked on there site a bunch, but I think I'm gonna wait for the guy I just bought from to get another in, he's real cheap and they're very healthy looking. Plus I'm out of tanks to use for quarantine! I have one tank with my Sen, one with my Lap, and a third with the new ornate and delhezi haha. So I'll wait a bit for this guy to get another and by then I should be able to clear up a tank

So I've had my Lap for 9 days now and he's doing much better. Have been feeding him beef heart and shrimp soaked in Seachem Nourish and he's put on significant girth. When I got him he was weak and barely moved, and when he did it was clear he was not strong at all. Now he's much more active and clearly stronger.

A pic of him after nine days. Not the best pic because my phone sucks, but anyone who saw the first pics of him will be able to see he's in much better shape already.IMG_1598.JPG

Love this little guy. He greets me at the glass all the time, even when he's not hungry. And swims to my hand every time it's in the water and just taps it with his nose. Has really grown on me. Glad I was impulsive and bought him!

Looking good! I'd definitely advise shifting to tilapia though, too much shrimp isn't good for them in the long run. Hikari sinking carnivore pellets are good for smaller guys too and have a bit of a more nutritionally complete makeup
