New to Polypterus - Substrate Advice!

It was fishonlinerus.com. But to be fair, other than this one instance they've been great to deal with. This is my second order through them, and Sam, the owner, is very accommodating and the fish are pretty good quality. And it was also the day after christmas so I kinda understand the confusion
Why'd you think Bluegrass, do they have a reputation for things like that?

Since it was shipped. Seeing a retro I assumed it was bg from aquabid but got them mixed. So, it came from cali shipped to you to NY. Usps priority 2-3 days? Just curious on transit.
Yeah I found these guys on aquabid. Nah it was shipped Fedex overnight
One thing they do, that nobody else I've ordered from does, is they put a sprig of some plant in there, I'm assuming it's to increase oxygen levels. I don't do any planted tanks so I'm no expert, but I thought that when it's dark, plants actually consume more oxygen than they produce, so wouldn't this be counterproductive?

yeah I'll let you guys know. so far he's pretty bold but not very active. Only been here for 24 hours though
