ok thanks for the responses, i will check into that then. hopefully by this weekend i can get the sand and live rock in there to start the cycling process. cant wait to get this setup :)

Gotcha. Didn't/Don't know what OP stands for until I thought about it and I think it is Other People.

I hate it when people use abbreviations I don't know, guess I am as bad as everyone else. OP= Original Poster. But Other People works also.
 
a question about live rock...i have 2 buckets of live rocks that have been out of the tank for about 2 weeks and ae dry...does that kill the bacteria in them and make them dead? that is what the guy at the LFS told me that my live rock are no good as far as live rock goes.

Yes it makes them dead.

Live rock is dead rock with living organisms on it. You have killed the life off of it so it is no longer live.

The rock will become live again because the bacteria will recolonize when put back into an aquarium.
