Several shrimp are the same species, and just color morphs of that species. Because of this, it isn't interbreeding, but rather, breeding that happens.Liam;1999416;1999416 said:not sure that is possible. it may be with cichlids, but not sure about shrimp.
Bumble bee and cherry reds cannot interbreed. Bumble bees and crystal reds can interbreed.red_wall;2009051;2009051 said:Ohhh yes, very possible. I know that some do it, like cherries and bumble bee. They are in the same family. Not too sure what others will interbreed, but i'd check it out on google.
Very bad statement. The vast majority of plants kept in aquariums cannot just be kept in any old tank. More than 75%, of aquatic plants, cannot survive in low light settings, like most tanks keep. Several plants must have pressurized co2 in order to continue to survive. Many are intolerant to salt, or copper.Liam;1995757;1995757 said:any plant really, don't really need to add anything for the plants, except for the fertilizer sometimes, but that's not going to hurt anything.
I've had several hundred in a 26, thriving and breeding.Caper;1995138;1995138 said:Sorry to double post, had another thought today.
I've heard it is possible to have up to 40 shrimp living happily in a 20 gallon tank, is this true?
I'm wondering what types of aquatic plants I'll need, how to care for the plants without killing the shrimp... any tips would be great on this one.
Filters and other equipment... can anyone recommend some?
