I don't completely trust them...I know they are supposed to be reliable but I would hate to come home one day to find out that my overflow box decided to clog or to find the seal broken and the tank emptied out...

I use one on my 120 reef. I have to clean the U tube on a regular basis the algae builds up inside it and slows down the flow into the sump. the tank will overflow if it builds up too much. once it starts to slow it clog's real fastronin_man;2600977; said:i've never had an issue with my CPR overflow, although it is in FW

I wish I drilled the tank when I had the chance
the problem is the algae grows in the tube. I dont think a prefilter will help with that.I have been thinking of painting the tube black to solve the problem hopefully no light will = no algearonin_man;2602373; said:put a small pre filter in it,
