OUCH! Sorry I will be more of an adualt from now on....You got quality advise here...Sign up at all the other sites and make your first post/thread flow the same way and report those results....Good luck. And still no thank you. I did math for you and made at least like 50 good good suggestions and posted pics of my own fish....WOW you are welcome anyhow...

like i said earlier i am very THANK FULL for all the good advice and will be making/buying a better tankin the near future and as for the other fish it was only for peace of mind and as for the foodall i wanted to know is if it was normal for him not to eat! and as for the tank sizes i will keep it in mind now for all the crap i got for buying the fish i have that was not needed i know i put them in a small tank but the oscar was given to me and so was the tank and the g/f wanted a fish and i told her we r going to have to get another tank soon so they will have a place to grow and move around and we both agreed that if we cant make a good home for them we will gie them to the pet store or some one that has the room for them and get smaler fish so i know what i got myself in to and its a big deal to me when some one says it wont work cuz i know it wil i just needed some advice that was all!

Fish cost money...A lot. Be prepared to have to foot the bill for many things like , tanks, meds, etc etc.... As far as the jack, maybe he ate before you got him. Most fish when first put in a tank will not readily except food. I have had bigger fish hold out for a week. You must get a bigger tank soon. Oscars need huge tanks and great filtration. Just take it one step at a time. First step is patients...step 2 finding money for fish/supplies/tank....

I agree :) Like I said if you keep your pets first you will be fine. Just keep researching and stay a member here and you will be an ]v[FK'er in no time at all ;)

Wow! Not to be mean, but this thread frustrates me. Good luck on the fish. Just make sure you don't keep them in the 10 too long or bad things will happen. Keep up on your water changes, or they could get bad stuff like HITH. Your right, it is your tank, but these guys are just trying to reach out and give you help so that things don't turn out bad. Do what you like, but learn from the experience of others. Good luck and enjoy your fish!

I'm thinking he ignored my long post about the nitrogen cycle thing....
