Are there any rays that dont grow like crazy like the motoros do? because im not sure if im going to just...want to buy a big pond once he gets huge hahaha what types of rays could happily stay in like a 125+ or around that range?

Yeah stingrays are awesome animals. They could be a hell of a lot more popular (plus easier to keep) if they didnt have such a bad rep. I think its so interesting how they 'play', its like a little kid. Also like a little kid that they eat and poop a lot lol

If you plan on a pond, I would love to see it, ray ponds are gorgeous. Especially ones with side views.

oh yeah, hes so much fun to watch haha he seems to love to be pet, and actually today when he was swimming up the side of the tank, i put my fingers in, he swam right up to me and tried to like eat my entire hand haha, well, actually he just kinda sucked at my finger but it was awesome

a motoro won't last long in a 125. A male will be ok longer than a female, but both will outgrow it fairly quickly. to be quite honest a 125 really isn't a good home for any ray that you plan on keeping for a long time.

And I would use R/O water with your ray. Just use aged tap water. And please get a 2foot tank asap. I keep even 6inch rays in a 2footer. As think at a 6inch disk. The ray is already 12-14inches long. And your putting it in a 18inch tank. 2foot is much better. And a ray will soil water very fast. So the more water. The more stable the water is.

Well first thing... how big is ur tank, because the motoro is going to grow very fast, and it should be kept in no smaller then a 125 gallon tank for enough swimming room when he gets a lil older, make sure you have proper filtration and you will need to do frequent water changes.

I agree. seems like its eating a good sign.

ok thanks a lot guys! seriously im amazed at all the things you guys let me know, again, if you have anything else to say id love to hear ANY information from owners such as yourselves. thanks again!
