Red bishops are terrible parents, the worst troph parents without fail that I have experienced in 20 yrs of keeping them. “If” they hold to term, the group eats fry that are released into the tank

Wow, my Bemba at least wait until the fry are over an inch before they kill them. Just when they’re starting to look like a troph.
Just sold 31 RB fry to a bloke on Staten Island.

I stopped feeding super red color flakes (w 400ppm astaxanthanin) a ittle over 4 months ago. I feed Northfin veggie pellets exclusively now. Color still looks great, though I think they would pop better against a black background. One day I will get to that

I will actually be relocating this 40B to the basement soon as I am getting a new/used 105gal set up for the alcove the 40B is currently in. When I move it I will add a black background to it to enhance the RB’s color pop! More to come on the 105gal later…
