That's what I miss about living back east, there is NOTHING out here for the most part worth looking for lol. Has you little guy eaten anything yet? It sounds not so good, but a good starter just to get them eating I have found is hotdogs, lol I use the turkey dogs myself though. Not a staple, but it will get them going.

Congradulations on your new arrival. How big will he get and what's the average longevity? Turkey Dogs? Sounds good to me. It may also help keep his cholesterol in check to0 :D , Kevin. Plain Beef or Beef, Pork and Poltry mixed meat dogs may have too much cholesterol fat content for them, especially being small & all.

He's really lucky though. My cartiologist told me no type of cased meats for meals. Bologna, salami, brauts, pizza salami & pepperoni, etc. are a no go. Been sticking to my Dr.'s advice. I haven't had a Diamond Back Jalapino & Cheese Ball Park going on 10 years now. I only miss them really when I think about it. Pizza too. O.M.G. NOT THE PIZZA!

But, at least I don't have to fight clogged arteries. :grinno:

But hey, turkey dogs are great from what I hear for introducing a feeding regimine for some wet/dry pets, so if it works, keep it up. But you may want to try a varied diet too. Blanched veggies, worms, shrimp, & artemia might be helpful as well. Maybe some some WC rhoe, too (just guessing on this one). What about boiled chicken eggs? Are they healthy for turtles?
