These do not have green leaves. It's just the green that shows when a newly emerged leaf comes up (Black Magic does the same thing, actually.) The leaf itself is black also.

But as said earlier, they are growing out, so they aren't ready anyway. In a week or two, they'll have their black leaves ready for photographing. Thanks

the red mangroves how big do they get?

Hey
I'll post pics of the older ones. They grow approx 70 to 80 feet in the tropics, but in Florida area grows only to about 20'!!! They grow slowly. But under normal circumstances, I would say up to 5 to 10 feet inside a home. (But of course they can be cut back as desired.

As per another request, here is a pic of one of my larger growout Red Mangroves. Included is a cool ROOT SHOT!!! This is what makes mangroves unique! (And it's still a baby)

ok so i could pure to about 2' i was thinking of have some in a 120gal.

Hey muckie - pruning them to 2' would be no problem - and they would get pretty wild looking branches as a result, so that would be nice.

k thanks. still have to build the tank first lol.

lol - no worries - I'm sure I'll have some laying around when you're ready. Thanks!
