Honestly I think it's all in how they're raised....... Mine all tend to chill on the bottom when I'm not around or in sight. Once they see me they hover thinking they're going to get fed.

IF I had to recommend a species I think E would back me on the "Iguaza" species (cf panara lacs) being a very personable wolf.

I'll have to get some vids and let you decide for yourself.

I have several of the "Iguazas". Maybe I could live without one IF you can't track one down.......

Here's my vatf update. He's the king of the tank so I've decided to hold off on any more predators for now so I can keep his tail in perfect shape. I like this guy a lot.
