New Whiptail

They don't have anything different that says otherwise, but with whiptails its really hard to tell the difference.
 
do you have any good enough pics to show me the diff between male and female, or is exactly the same as plecs. i heard males can have some spines on the top of their head, but not sure if that was true
 
It's the same as with plecos. The male does have spines on his head, and the female lacks spines everywhere on her body for the most part. It's really hard to get good pics of the spines though, at least with my camera.
 
OOOH! I got some killer photos of the Whiptails. The males are very easy, but the females require quite a bit of time of observation, or to look at the papilla. I got photos of all. I'll post them once my main comp reloads.
