Bro Fong, the problem with your statements is that you keep saying that you have 30 years of arowana keeping experience, first you thought this was axanthic, and it was common, but failed to provide any pictures of juveniles or adults of axanthic ones.
then now you change your mind, and think the above fish is what we have, what's not ok is that you claim that these fish are cheap and common. Well, we don't go and look into your tank and say that all the albino fish you have are cheap and common, farm raised fish right?
Here is my reply: thanks for all those that support me in the past and present. The fish I got are wild fish from Peru, they pick out of thousands to get a few, they obviously look different. They also pick out other random mutations, as they know it will fetch them good money.
As for how these will turn out when they get big, honestly, I do not even know, like I've been saying, this is new to the hobby. So its interesting to see how they progress, they could turn more white, or more yellow. I've seen several examples of solid yellow ones in the past, which are pretty nice in my opinion. If worse comes to worse and they don't turn out to what we've imagined that it would then so be it. Fish keeping is always a risk. Just like buying a baby chilli red aro, you just don't know for sure what it will turn out to be at a young age, now its easier with all the captive bred fish since you know the parents.
I'm currently being offered some platinum black aro, also pink eyed albino silver from the wild also...or should I just forget about them since they're just another common aro?
