That fish you show is very interesting.....I think that is a very young fish..... do a red asian aro look red at such a young age? Aro needs to develop over time......I want to see adult not one a bit older that maybe similar......plus his eye not black

That fish is slightly older than yours. Your fish will look like that in 2 Months time
After 3 Months yours will look like a normal silver.

The red color will disappear as it ages.

Your Aro eyes not black also.. We need to compare apple with apple..

The problem is you keep coming on here saying you know it's a cheap common arro. But you don't know for sure- you just now finally said it yourself. We can appreciate your opinion but to claim you know exactly what it is going to be when not even the supplier knows is going to muster up arguments from everyone and you got it. Even if it turns out different it looks way better then your Snow in my opinion

Bro.. Why you keep referring to my snow? Cant get it off your mind ?

Point 1 ...i said axanthic silver is not new.. Supported with pics..
Point 2 ... After seeing the latest photo update. I said 3 months time this piece will look like normal silver.. It's axanthism not extreme type...

That's all I said.. I am not against anyone.. Just discussing on the fish...

Bro fong, I understand completely that you just want everyone to know that you think that this fish is not as special or rare as we believe that it might be. I would really like to see it turning an awesome yellow colored adult. I too have kept arowana for over 30 years and I personally think and believe that we have something special here. Only time will tell. Those last pictures posted of it are alot better than the first ones. It's already absolutely beautiful. I'd love to get one myself, but I don't even know the price of the fish.

Bro.. Come Down to Singapore.. If Want awesome yellow body with pinK eye.. I just saw a few in our fish shop.. They cost around USD 400. 2 years ago they were selling at USD 2k.

I will show u around.

I keep referring to your snow because I'm giving my opinion on what a quality fish should look like. Your snow is deformed- they eyes are popped out like a frog and the shape is not right- I would never buy one.
And there you go again- you are saying this arro will turn regular but you have no proof. You are just speculating. You have never kept one before and thus you have no idea what it will look like. Just shooting air out of your mouth with nothing to back it up.

When your snow was small did it have the ugly frog eyes or did they grow like that with age?

Wes, how big are the platinum blk arowana you're offered? Tiny? Bro Fong, all I can say is that I think it will be different when it grows up, not a normal looking silver arowana. Looking too different now to just be plain later on.

this is how it works, they find them as early as yolk sac fry, and alert me with them. they also know how much they're selling for in Asia now, so they want thousands of dollars per fish, so I start negotiating with them. As this goes on, the fish gets a bit bigger or skinnier and worse in condition. and at the same time they will offer this to Asian market, and once the timing is right, and price is right it will strike, and be sold. I got the message a week ago, but it could be gone by now. I rather get them a bit bigger, when they're 2" with yolk and $1800 each or more its really risky, even if its $1000 each. These opportunities present themselves a few times a year, I don't think they realize how many albino silvers they're breeding in Asia, etc...

I figured that they would be way high. Personally I don't mind having your plain ol' common blk arowana. I don't have to distance myself from the other fishkeepers to feel like I have a special fish. Small black arowana are special enough for me. Sign me up for 2-3 of the black arowana that are just done absorbing their eggsac or have a little bit left. I'm more than good with those guys. They're special enough for just plain ol' nothing to prove me. Thanks
