newbie- showing my cichlids

Yeah, that was pretty funny...

Anyway, you should try to upgrade as quickly as possible. The jag could use more room, so could the uropthalmus. The jack would do nicely in the 55 with the con. The sveni will need some more room as it grows as well. Nice collection, just work on some upgrades and you'll have some really happy fish!
 
well the cr. sveni is almost fully grown and seems to be happy with the jack dempsey and convict in the 75g. the cr. sveni has been very calm in the 75 with all the tankmates. shows almost no aggresion towards anyone. :). i might think about upgrading them to a 125 and giving the uropthalmus the 75g. he used to be very calm a quiet and stay in his cave alot, recently he's gotten very aggressive and tries to bite me when i put my hand in the tank. i dunno if the sudden change in mood means much. but id like to get him in a bigger tank asap. too bad im a poor college graduate. hopefully soon i can upgrade his tank tho.

haha... im not gonna hurt you. i like learning new things about my fish and just fish in general. ive only been in the hobby for a year and half so im far from an expert. so i classify fish usually by what they are sold to me as. in the uropthalmus's case, i rescued him from my friends pirhana tank along with the managuense before they coud get eaten.

Edit: I'd get at least a 75 for the jag and switch the uro to the 55 gallon. Jags get much larger than uros. Also that jag is starting to look like a beast, I like his profile. ;)
 
lol those guys look great! =] and cool looking mayan cichlid! you should get a 150 or something so you can just put them all in one tank...more space too

the red terror, is a gold saum, maybe a color morph, darkened orange rim around the tail is usually orange, beautiful fish nontheless, i especially like that jag
