+1 on the BA tetras another tough schooler.i was thinking instead of GT.they are great but you have alot of options for pairs in a 75.do you have a good LFS? also there is a marketplace section on MFK has alot of online vendors that will sell/ship cichlids

Thank you everyone for your quick and CONSISTANT replies! I see this was a good move on my part and clearly a more active and helpful forum. I was kind of leaning for toward to GT's anyway so thanks for telling me what I wanted to hear lol. Next question, dither fish. Do I need them? What should I be looking at? Old forum said silver dollars?

I personally would not do SDs in a 75 as you would want 5/6 SDs to feel "comfortable".....SDs tend to be very skittish.... too skittish for my blood....you may end up with a lot of banged up noses...not a pretty sight. I agree on some of the other suggestions.... Giant Danios or Buenos Aire Tetras....not too large, hardy, fast swimmers, and easily replaceable if need be.

I knew I should have stayed on the old forum...not threats of physical harm on there..

Anyway thanks everyone for your advice thus far. I've been talking more with the guy at my LFS and he seems to be echoing a lot of what you guys are saying here. One of the suggestions he made that I really liked was pictus cats (think someone on here said that too??) Guess I have some choices to make. I ordered my fluval 405 today so I better start making them quick!!
