sorry. dont think i can help you. im in singapore.

there are very little smuggled stocks world wide since they got listed under CITES II in early 2005.

last time someone posted here some are going for more than USD$1k each for a "captive bred" hatchling.

if you are in singapore me or elindra may be able to help u get one. we always get offers of FRTs for adoption.

Yeah... turned down a few FRTs coz I really don't have space anymore.

We try to rehome but it's easier said then done

ya. because since they are illegal over here now. those who do not wish to keep have to surrender the FRT to the authorities. they can't post their FRTs openly for sale. not even for adoption. irregardless of size or if the FRT was purchased before the ban.

most of those offers we got are adoptions.

The FRT I picked up today is in really bad condition.
I think it has pretty bad skin infection.
It's flaking so badly it looks like some kind of skin monster

Gonna try treating it with the Japanese yellow powder for a few days to see if it improves....if not looks like I really have to bring it to Dr Fredric

Full sea water baths, 30 minutes, many times a day:nilly:

thanks.

got a message from elindra. after she did a salt bath and treated the FRT with japanese yellow powder, it stopped peeling.

the problem now is that this FRT refuse to eat anything that is not meat. she tried to feed it hikari algae wafer, fruits, vetegables, etc... it just refuse to eat.
when she fed it market prawn, carnivorous pellets, it takes them readily. :nilly:

I'll just feed it those stuff till it's stronger before I try to switch it's diet
Yeah last night I did 2 concentrated salt baths for it and soaked it in Japanese yellow powder before i went to bed

Peeling stopped just light peeling around the folds.
Will continue today and maybe give it some UV light (sun) for about 20 mins or so.
