Im confused....
Anyways, ive always kept jack dempseys with the mentioned stock in same size tank. Never had a problem. You should look into better filtration though.

I've kept dempseys with a variety of fish as well, including severums, Oscars, and even some angels without incident. Well, there was one psycho that would attack everything including me, but that was the only one.

yeah, like the saying goes, you can never leave the hobby, just comes back stronger, now i want something thats in the 100 plus range... LOL
better than...8 sponge filters and 2 hob for a measly 125 ... you CANT really get more effective filtration and OP likes sponge filters (with good reasons)... and 2 300+gph hobs as suppliments for mech. it should be absolutely golden..imo
well apparently petsmart has sales on bettas, 99 cent for females and 1.99 for males....... odd question, how many female bettas for a 125? LOL, thinking 30? with a single male betta ( not doing this but thought id throw the question up there )
