Lol, the patent office canceled it for disparaging team name toward native Americans at the time it was registered.

Think theyll get the hint? Now it'll start affecting their pocket book. You could literally sell skins gear online or right there in their parking lot. Take that Dan Snyder!

The potential for a breakout year in Hyde for sure but with Frank Gore and Marcus Lattimore (now healthy) I am not sure Hyde would see enough time on the field to be able to have one. I wouldn't draft him on my fantasy team.
 
that's insanity. 1st amendment be damned. So they're indirectly adding to the market with even more Redskins merchandise in an attempt to stop the use of the Redskins moniker...that makes a lot of sense.
 
I'm sure it won't hold up in court but it's still pressure to change the name and another headache the team and the nfl have to deal with. No way this team name makes it another 25 years. The writing is on the wall

Not indirectly, lol, it's meant to directly affect the nfl and the redskins by finally affecting their pocketbook.

Funny thing is theres more money to be made by changing team names then keeping it.

Doing a little google search on why the Skins name change issue and seen a few about having the Indians, braves and hiefs too. WTF, why do people get all get puss'd out over stupid stuff? U.S. has a victim spirit. I can understand the Natives and Washingtons team name but the other crap?? C'mon...

Will be interesting to see what name they will change it too since they seemed to have hit them where it hurts (money).
