One of my IT I'm pellet training has gone almost two months now with the exception of one day. I dropped some massivore in and ran out to work and when I came home he was probably as fat as he could be and there was no signs of left over pellets between him and my other tigers. That was like two weeks ago and I haven't seen him eat since.

What was the longest you starved any of your fishes? You're right regarding breaking an owner, however, if one spends a fortune on the fish... it's quite difficult to swallow losing a fish that expensive.

The longest was a thin bar that took 7 weeks as they seam the hardest to give in

Ngt are a bit more easy as they love blood work give them a good feed on blood worm then no more then you know the exact last date they ate

The 1st few days soak the pellets in frozen blood worm over night then do it less and less until you have dry pellets

If they won't take pellets after 8 weeks give them one feed of what they will eat and start again

You need a good clean up fish or your water will just turn bad

And use hikari pellets to start they seam to work best then use other pellets later on

I have used this method on fish costing $500 you need to be strong

probably doesnt like eating them infront of you as its showing you that you won ;)

I totally agree! My indo dat was very stubborn. It took the month of January to train him. Now he prefers massivores over bloodworms!! He did not want pellets until he made his first attempt 3weeks in he spit it out at first but once I saw that I knew it was just a matter of time. every day from then on he tried them until 4 weeks passed and he begged like a dog for them. :)
