Nice marble, but not worth $1000 imo.
I remember when black rays were a quater of the price they are now. Are they worth it?

any updates on this fish? from what I've seen is that marble motoros look great when young, but once they get old, the color tends to mix together and less attractive.

LMAO......

Tell that to Richard (Aquaman). His adults he's had for over a decade still look friggin cartoon character colored.......

Maybe, just maybe, IF we kept them in similar conditions to what discus breeders keep their fish in water parameter wise maybe they would retain their patterns? OR is it simply the genes?

Talking about a half decade+ old question here.......

I actually have a few Marbles here I'd rather have then the one in this thread. Richard probably has double digits that are nicer..... lol.

I was thinking the same thing. This is a really nice ray, but I still prefer Aquaman's adults.

Most rays do

The reason I say this is it seems like leopoldi and bd seem to look better with age, as the spots eclipse or break up, even up until pretty old fish. And for boesmani, the few we've seen, the bigger ones looked incredible, almost like the reverse from motoro. You had a big one right? would you mind sharing more pictures of it?
