Black rays are the ones that look amazing when younger till about 12". If it's not an amazing Ray it's spots won't grow the ray gets bigger and it starts to look like a Leo.
P14 are the same. Out of the black rays nice quality henlei age the best and can look better than lots other rays.
I'd say the rays that are the bet when larger would be flower/tiger rays. These rays are slow growing spooked easily for a few years. Once they start to attain size and comfortability they will darker up and have the most impressive patterns. They don't do well for most people who try. That's mostly because these rays don't do that well in groups of black and brown rays which is prodominatley the makeup of most people collections.
There then are of course many rays that will stay amazing or become simply amazing .ive seen some larger bd that look real sharp . I also have seen aquamans marbles in pictures and in the flesh. I am sure he has a few that don't stay amazing when they start getting bigger but the two i witnessed so far have not given me any doubt about his rays.
