I've been a huge fan of Marbles for many years and over those many years I've learned a lot, some good, lots of bad, and many unanswered questions have come up.

I set out on a mission many years ago to amass a collection of high quality Marbles. My goal was to breed them and offer them back to people at affordable prices. Well, guess what? I now know that isn't going to happen. Why? Cause it simply isn't worth it.

Here's a couple pics of my last 2 pups. For those of you who seem to think the quality of the parents mean nothing and that any old Marble can make a stunner I hope you enjoy.......

These 2 pups have the same father but different moms. Born within a week or 2 of eachother. I'd have to look back but I believe they are about 4 months old.

Maybe It's a coincidence. Maybe not. ;)

Maybe this will be the last pure Marble pups born in my house.

Enjoy.

They are very different but both beautiful. The first one has some super nice disk edge spots. Do you have any that are carrying now?

Saw movement in all 4 lady Marbles before things went to hell in the 750. Haven't seen any movement since they started eating again. However the Pearl shows NO intrest whatsoever in any of them, yet has the new Marble and Hen so chewed up it's about time to seperate again.... So I have absolutely NO idea WTF is going on.

Very nice Alan, the darker one is really appealing to say how young it is.....stick in there mate,Marbles are in your blood like they are mine, people will start taking interest again once they feel secure, this bloody recession is the problem not the rays, remember this is not just about Marbles.....it effects all species...people are very careful with their money right now which is understandable.
Save all your pups and enjoy watching them grow until the right person comes along that appreciates all the years of work you have put into creating the quality you have....then sell them one!!This way if they don't sell straight away you have a better idea which ones would make good keepers...good plan?
All the best mate.

Al i have to agree well said ..Acouple more things to think about if you will can you make money in general Breeding for the Hobby ???? Probably not if your lucky you break even more lucky you make a couple extra bucks here and there and ya can buy your self another tank or two to further your pleasure Buddy i hate to read this and seemingly so down it's a hobby treat is that and maybe a little more pleasure can be had ..And believe me sometimes i need to slow down myself take a step back and say to myself hey man this is just a hobby LOL!!!!

Alan,

Any pix of parents pups?

I believe the male was imported by Colin (Rvrrays), went to Brad (stingrayguy), then to Pat (Amazonstingrays), then to Todd (coolmbu), to me, and now resides with Scott (Tanglovers). I believe everyone but Scott has pics up on this site.

The mother of the nicer one is Duckman77's old lady Marble.

The mother of the other is the female that has been with the male since Brad I believe. Pat sold as a pair, as did Todd. This pair has been parents to several memebers' pups here, as I know Pat sold a bunch here and Todd had like 3 litters from them as well. Wouldn't be suprised if this pair has produced more CB Marble pups then probobly any pair we know of.

I just thought it was intresting to see the comparison..... Same sex, same age, same father. Who knows, maybe eventually the nice one will get ugly and the less desireable of the 2 will blossom into something that shames the other. Will be nice to update in a half year or something and watch them grow up side by side.
