did you manage to get him to take pellets on there own?

Unfortunately i never got him to eat the pellets just by themselves i always had to stuff the fish i bought from the market. I didn't have the patience to test it out thoroughly so i just went with what worked. He was super small when i got him just like yours. Judgind from the picture i think he turned out just fine.

just as an update, my fish now eagerly swim to the top of the tank and eat pellets!!!! :-D

they have been doing this for a couple of days and will continue to only feed them this way for nearly a week so they recognise this as how they get fed.

i will continue to feed pellets but give them shrimp every other day....
