Nile monitor

I always push as much variety as possible. Eggs, worms, fish, snails & other inverts,....these monitors aren't that picky. Feeding them exclusively one thing is just being cheap and lazy.

He's actually nice too. He WON'T bite. He runs occasionally though...
 
i bet you so much you bought it because it was like 10bucks! don't worry, i've been there, but i knew what i was going to deal with. i read that they should be on ground turkey diet.

Why would you think that? What about his post made you assume he bought it just because it was ten dollars? Also, if someone knows where there are ten dollar nile monitors let me know, ok? LOL

My work has them in all the time, so it wasn't really an impule thing.
Isn't a ground turkey diet horrible for them?;)
