Nitrate absorbing floating plants

Yeah the hyancinth, to get it develop those massive roots they usually fertilize real heavy and once you put in aquarium, they arent receiving that level of nutrients and start breaking up. Maybe try a small nugget and see if it takes

Thats what i'll do start with a small one.

Hey I talked to some plant guys and was advised not to do the bleach/water cleanse. It can kill the plants even with a small exposure. Was advised on meds and qt.

As wailua boy mentioned....pot perm/MB will help and qt those plants.

Gonna pick up the copper meds and roll with that lol

I picked up the kordon copper aid. Says 1 teaspoon per 4 gal.of water. Anyone know the duration ? Or if that is the dosage that is harmful to snails ?

Directions say 1 teaspoon per 4 gal can treat for up to a month but that cant be right. plants/fish would surely have issues with a month long treatment.. no ?

So tried the bleach solution.
19 cubs of water to 1/4 cup of bleach since it was concentrated. Tried it on the largest hyacinth. Sosnt notice any snails though so i dug iut a few from the bucket i was holding the plants in and tossed them in the solution and they died instantly l. Tossed in two more of the smaller plants and noticed a few snails fall off. Have them recouping in a 20 gal with a sponge filter and pellets.
Gonna test out the kordon on the remaining plant in the 10 gal.

not sure but from what I read floating should do better being that they get c02 from the atmosphere they may grow faster and soak up more from the tank water

Wailua Boy could probably confirm
the plants that I soaked in the bleach are still alive, does that mean they will make it or would there demise be a slow prolonged thing
