Nitrate Reducing Plants

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mine is a tiger lotus. It decintegrated a few weeks ago. It goes dormant every few months then comes back. Just like my aponogeton. I have old pics on my comp but its too hard to get to.

Bummer on the disintegration. I searched for Lilypad aquarium on google and got this great image for you:

I grew up in Georgia, and man you got that right. Lol. Somehow it would be darkly amusing to see SF get burried in it. lol

I like the way you think! I am sure you have erosion problems that need some attention ;)

But seriously, you may have hit on something. This plant grows up to 6" per day! It loves swampy places. I think it is mostly dormant for the winter now, but as soon as it returns in spring, I am going to give it a go. I bet it is ideal for this purpose.

Let me know how it works out! There is no Kudzu here in SoCal. A confederate themed tank with kudzu sounds awesome.. grey and dark blue fish... hmmmm
