NLS 10mm Mega Fish Formula for Bichirs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't like feeding small pellets to my monster Bichirs. I prefer feeding tilapia(Bichirs get massive) but sometimes I'm busy. I don't have time to cut up tilapia everyday.

Only Tilapia ? and none other type of fishes ? I don't seems to be able to find them here in Singapore =/

btw I feed my bichirs fresh chicken meat once or twice a week and noticed it took them longer to digest then other stuff. Is that healthy ?

I don't think chicken meat is a good idea for Bichirs. Godzilla who is almost 23" Congicus, is easily thicker than a soda can. Bumblebee and Stegga(17"-18" Ornate, and 17" Endli) is around soda can size. Main diet is Tilapia.

nls 10mm is all i feed my bigger bichirs, they always swim towards the pellets as soon as it hits the bottom but since i ran out, i have been using massivore and they're not as quick to get to the pellets. just ordered a bucket of nls from d&s aquatics on mfk. the pellets are super hard so your fish have to swallow them whole. my dats will eat it also but my pbass wont. my aro tries but always spits it out after trying to chew it

I just started using mega fish formula for my 7 bichirs smallest is 11 inch biggest is 15. They like it but its a little messier than massivore.

Sweet. I guess, I shall order soon. Thanks for the info! Anymore would be nice!

I've been feeding the Mega fish formula to my Polypterus collection for quite a while and I really like it! The Spectrum pellets seem a lot more dense and feel much harder to the touch. They don't start falling apart in the water as quickly as Massivore does. Usually this isn't an issue as everyone feeds so aggressively-sometimes a pellet will fall between driftwood or into a hard to reach location and I've noticed this. I also like that the Mega pellet is larger than the Massivore pellet (see attached photo). If anything, I think the tank stays cleaner longer feeding this over Massivore.

Also like how sweet the container/photos/packaging is! Makes feeding time that much cooler!

Sweet! I guess the pellets isn't that much bigger. Should be no problem for my monsters. :) Thanks!
