If your bichirs are expelling the NLS pellets through their gills, that means you got the wrong size pellets. Get a smaller pellet size and the mess should stop.

If your bichirs are expelling the NLS pellets through their gills, that means you got the wrong size pellets. Get a smaller pellet size and the mess should stop.
Don't rage on me now! 
Its not that they expell it through the gills it just softens up faster than massivore.

Thats not supposed to happen. You probably got a dud batch of NLS. I left NLS pellets in a tank for about 2 hours, they barely softened up.
I just got in the 1.8kg bucket of this. It has quite the impressive list of ingredients on it. AS well, my polys took about 5 seconds to start sniffing it out. The laps at 12" were gobbling them like crazy, and even the 10" dels had no problem eating them. It also sinks like a rock which is great. It makes it past the climbing perch for the most part. Two thumbs up from me.
