  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wish there is a device that dice tilapia into cube. It would make feeding a lot easier and painless.

There is...just cost $$$. We have a dicer in the kitchen I work in. We use it more for vegetables, but I've used it on meat before. A bit messy, but it worked, lol!

Your 20" bichirs shouldn't have any problems with the 10mm NLS, I feed mine the 6mm pellets since they are 12" and up. I've been feeding more lake smelt lately cause I've gotten lazy feeding tilapia and catfish.

Another option if you don't want to do pellets is frozen silversides. For a full grown poly. they are the right size to eat already and don't have to chop them up
Well, right now I feed tilapia and smelts (2"-6") whole. Takes up time to defrost and all that.

Don't be lazy :D It doesn't take that long to cut tilapia up. I cut them faster than ever now.

K Thanks. :)

Its not called being lazy. I am just trying to make preping food easier so more time to watch the fish. I hope you still have all 10 fingers left to type. It takes awhile to cut because some pieces of tilapia has bones. My bichirs are spoil and only do boneless meat. Have u tried NLS pellets yet? Any update?

Yes, I still have all 10 fingers. 99% of the time, my tilapia fillets don't have bone in them. :) I haven't had a chance to get the samples of NLS from my buddy.
