NLS Cichlasomma Anyone use it?

I accidentally ordered the Cichlasomma instead of the cichlid formula for my African Cichlids from Big als its set to be here today. The pellets they said are 3mm is that too big for 3"-4" Africans?


PS Mods please do not move my thread some people use NLS formula's that do not have cichlids etc . My question applies to everyone.
 
I think it is kind of new. Noone tried it know anything additional than the wrapper about it?
 
I feed my africans the large fish formula at times, which is 3mm pellets, and I havent had any problems. I dont know if the cichlasoma formula has a different composition though.
 
How big are the three mm will my Africans be able to eat them? They are 3-4"

Mine are anywhere from 2.5"-5" and they eat the 3mm pellets just fine. They do seem to chew the larger pellets more and it seems like more food particles end up in the water column though. Do you have the pellets in front of you or did you just order? I am curious if the protein & fat contents etc. are the same.
 
The protein and fat contents are available on the NLS forum. I ordered it with another FX5 and a bunch of goodies. Im happily awaiting its arrival today :)

If it is 34% protein & 5% fat then it should be fine, unless there is something else different about it. Like I said the fish just have to chew the larger pellets more which seems to result in more waste.
