NLS Question Thera vs. Med

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I thought my midas was a picky eater. When I tried Hikari cichlid gold from tetra prima she wouldnt touch it and it took about 2-3 weeks of the training mentioned above to get her eating it regularly. When I swapped to NLS after reading so much about it I expected war but she reminded me of wild Piranhas on a carcass when the NLS Thera A+ was dropped in. All my fish remind me of P's on a carcass at every NLS meal, they seem to enjoy it more than bloodworm or prawn which is unusual for me to see.

I wish I could look into my crystal ball & resolve everyones feeding issues, but if I could do that I'd probably just open my own show in Vegas. :D

Sometimes certain fish will definitely resist a new food, but if an obligatory predator such as V. lionfish can be trained to not only eat NLS, but come to the surface to eat floating NLS pellets, then I think that it's safe to say that 99% of the cichlids out there can be trained to eat it as well.

IME, most people that attempt to train fish to new food simply cave in too early, or continue to offer the fish other more familar foods which also often results in failure.

For those of you that had a negative feeding experience with this product, I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you.

Well my GT finally ate some of the NLS, only one pellet but its a start. I think she got sick of watching the other fish gobble it up.
