NO FEDOR FOR UFC

first off yes lesnar is tough..... based on 4 fights.... two against mir who's only decent showing as of late was against a punched drunk nog.... who fedor be in his prime.... do i beleive the best competition will be in the ufc? Yes..... all im saying is give the guy his dame due respect..... Fedor can retire today and still will be considedered one of the best ever for decades to come.....fedor is not fight dodger..... hes takin risky fights agaist giants nonames at risk of losing all..... while cleaning up everyone else..... if you cannot see his skill level.... perhaps YOUR head is somewhere dark......
9 out of 10 mma fighters say hes the best fighter in the world.... but then again what do they know...... fish message board analyst have it all figured out.....

Agreed, Fedor need to accept that M1 is "NEVER GOING ANYWHERE", ditch his managment, and go. I personally think if this takes another year Dana should pull alot off the table. The deal he was offered was more then fair. It was his manager wanting a share in the promotion for 1 fighter is bull****. M1 brings nothing for the UFC other then Fedor.

100% correct .. he is never going to get a deal that good again .. time to move up or move on ... i dont see fedor ever tanking another REAL fight again tho ... i think the good old days are over for us..

(btw i still think pound for pound he is the best but that is starting to drop because his lack of fighting top quality fighters)

you miss that part? as a fighter myself i know what makes a fighter good .. and being a training partner of a 4 time defending bantamweight champ of the WEC i think i might know a thing or 2 about mma that and i was his corner for a few years.. but what would i know ..

what you fail to understand is that he USED to be the best .. but is not any longer .. because he has not proved so ... and just because he USED to be the best does not make him by default today the best.. you have to beat the best to be the best .. and he has not done so in a long long time ..

im not saying he cannot be the best again .. but as of today .. he has not fought anyone to make him the best today ...

fedor in his prime .. while he was taking fights.. greatest fighter of his time .. fedor today .. fights has beens in underclass shows..

Trying to compare Fedor's record and Brock's record is baffling.
Even if you think that Fedor hasn't had decent opponents (which I think is false) his record still dwarfs Brock's.
I think that Brock is very good, right now. I'm not one to take the mma purist view and say "well, he needs to train more" or whatever, right now, he is very good. Having said that, Fedor is much better. He has the record on his side, not Brock. Brock hasn't fought anywhere near the guys that Fedor has, it's as simple as that.
I would love to see them fight, but the reality of Fedor never coming to the UFC is a reality that mma fans may have to just live with.

Also, while a lot of the blame can be put on Fedor and more specifically his management, I can't fault Fedor that much because like it was said before, whether Brock, Dana, the UFC, like it or not, it is Fedor who has nothing to prove. He is already the greatest pound for pound fighter in the world. Not to mention, Fedor uses his prominence to get other guys that he trains with fights, and exposure. He is a patriotic man, and while I wish he was more of a business man, I can't say that I might not do some of the same things that he does.

I couldn't disagree more. What does fighting Heath Herring prove? How about the fact that he basically broke his face at the begining of the fight, yet couldn't finish him off? I'll give you Coture, but he is 40+. And the jury is still out on Mir. It wasn't that long ago that he was an afterthought in mma, and really if you take away his win over an aging Nog, what has he done lately?
Again, I think Brock is very good, and right now is deserving of the Title, but don't get caught in comparing their records, because Fedor's is far greater.

seems like everywhere i go people are calling themselves fighters nowadays.... until your doing it fulltime and being paid for it.... your just a person with a bad business plan..... no offense.....

his over all yes .. and in the long run yes .. fedor was better then lesnar ever will be imo .. but as of right now .. fedor needs to take high end fights .. and show he is still the best . lesnar is doing that now .. fedor is not ... thats what i am saying .. i am not saying lesnar is better .. just that he is proving him self where fedor is not ... and imo if fedor shows up in good shape and ready and healthy .. there is not a single person that has anything more then a punchers chance at winning that fight .. but then again lesnars puching chance is much higher then more people..
