How could an expert give you second hand kowledge? If they really are an expert (an umbee in this case) then they have conducted some type of test(s), experiment(s) and or observation(s) to qualify as such. Reading about a fish doesn't make you an expert.
An expert arow keeper is not an expert in umbee's just because his best friend happens to be an umbee expert. However, if the arow guy asked his umbee friend a specific question about umbee's and posted the answer on his behalf I will take the opinion into consideration.
