Bala sharks name is bruce and I got coned into putting him in there by my 4 yr old son. Now I can't catch that thing for my life.
is that a peacock in the left side of the tank in the first pic? and it looks like a large mouth in the second?
yes it is a peacock bass, not sure what kind yet he is about 5in right now and is the fastest growing fish I have ever kept.
Update on drip system. I did my first water change in three months and really only needed to do this to vacuumed the substrate which is crushed coral and hides all kinds of "poo". Water quality is better than when I was doing 50% once a week. I did up the drip rate to 3/4 gph, water is crystal clear and fish never flash anymore. I contacted my local water treatment plant and they now send an email to me when they "nuke" the water. I pretty much know their habits already and know when an email is coming. Mostly after big rain, or any quick and heavy down pore.

I have a huge favor to ask of you. First off I love your idea and your tank looks great! I'm trying to set up a drip system on my pond I'm building. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get into my copper plumbing. It's right above the pond too. Can you give me some more info about that saddle thing? PM me maybe? I'd love to understand it lol.
