Some Sites claim it is ok but I say 6'x2' footprint would be much better as a minimum.

at least a 240.A 10-15 lb fish in a 55 is just cruel.My guy lives in a 450 gallon.He is over 3 feet now.

My guy is almost 4 years old.He grew about 12 inches a year but has just grown thick instead of long the last year.I think your stock sounds fine.
