Noisy fish while feeding

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My new batch of C.Temensis are,by the far, the noisest fish I've ever owned. I feed them and water splashes everywhere. Popping and splashing noises out the wazooo. Also, the coolest fish I've ever had!

My 9' sail fin pleco will swim up and eat floating pellets all the time ...and my oscar made crushing sounds when eating pellets

Technically all Plecos are Sailfins.

I think that every pleco I've ever had was omnivorous. Seems like whenever a fish dies the plecos are the first ones to start feasting on the corpse.

I've heard my larger oscar very clearly crunchin pellets and the shell 's of crayfish when I can catch them!! pretty cool stuff and you get quite the soakin :swear: if your to close to the tank when he's hit the pellets off the surfus   :nutkick:

when my manguenese eats feeders i can hear him crunching them. it actually sounds like he is eating croutons or something. then bits of scales slime and blood come out the gills. i have to be close to the tank to hear it though.

on a side note i always wondered why sometimes he spits out the heads and eats the bodies and other times spits out the bodies but eats the heads. whats up with that?

its like oreo cookies some ppl eat'em hole some pull'em apart and eat only the iceing . like ppl fish do weird sh@t to..
