none overflow sump?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not sure if you though of this or not but you could use your canister filter to feed the overhead sump. Drill the overflows in the sump, and you would have a safe setup. You won’t have crazy turnover, but you will have increased bio and could have easy access to mechanical filtration.

this could be customized to fit your bracing
This design is good for a few months then it becomes super inconsistent with the siphon and becomes more of a pita than anything. I have experienced this first hand and also read of others having the same issue. Not a good long term solution.

??This right here is the best of both worlds imo. IF you have 2 canisters feeding into the ovh sump that will also increase the flow. Much safer than most of the other options imho.

Like I said already the pvc is not a good long term solution. It took me 3 months to get it dialed in perfectly to how I thought it should work. Then after another 3-4 months it stoped being consistent and i finally just pulled the whole set up because it isn’t worth flooding my house or burning out the motor of the pump.

I've never used it so take Matteus Matteus first hand experience. over sump is a good idea if you have the room.
