i have heard pool filter sand (silica) isnt good for rays because of its sharp edges.
im wondering what sand i can put in with the ray im getting to make sure it doesnt injure itself.
will play sand work? i seen some today for only $4 a bag but wanted to make sure first because it says on the bag once its wet it packs really tight and its good for bulding sand castles. will this have the same result under water? or will the ray be able to dig and hide under it?
i want a sand thats more natural looking coloured and im not a fan of tahitan mood sand. is there an easy way about this sand business or am i going to have to pay alot more money to buy some sand from the LFS.
i already have white pool filter sand in the tank the ray(s) are going in
as for the rays they are retics and are selling for $69.99 CDN i would like to get a male and female to grow out and then upgrade tank or build a stingray suited type of tank.
thank you sooooooooooo much for any input
